Director of Business Development
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for expanding the company’s customer base. They will have mortgage industry experience with software sales and use prospecting strategies to identify prospects, initiating the first outreach with potential customers. The Business Development Representative will report to the VP of Operations. Mortgage, real estate and/or appraisal experience is required. This position will be located in the Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area with the flexibility to work remotely most days.
Responsibilities
- Work to ensure the business grows in the long-term through opening up new business opportunities
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and our customer success team
- Stay up to date with new products and industry requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of mortgage, real estate, and/or appraisal experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques including cold calling
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Apps and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
