Accounting & Administration Manager
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player who is looking to grow in his/her career. The Accounting & Administration Manager will report to the CEO, overseeing the accounting and administrative operations of the company that requires proven experience in various levels of accounting and administration. You will be responsible for producing periodic financial reports, maintain an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and sure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This position will be in the Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area with the flexibility to work remotely most days.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting, reporting, invoicing, and risk management
- Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
- Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments
- Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Overseeing Human Resources, to include benefit administration
- Overseeing the companies SOC2 audits and due diligence requests from third parties
- Other various administrative tasks as requested
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent work experience
- 4-6 years of accounting and administrative experience required
- 2+ years of mortgage, real estate, and/or appraisal experience is preferred
- QuickBooks experience required
- Experience working with multiple legal entities preferred
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Managing processes and developing standards
- Auditing, accounting, and corporate finance experience
- Analytical skills
- Administrative and organizational skills
